1) IGNORE THE PANIC

This article written by Aisha S. Ahmad hits the nail on the head on why the rush for sustained productivity during this pandemic won’t do you any good.

Having worked and lived in conditions of war - she draws parallels on surviving those tough times and how she can help you cope with this one.

Why You Should Ignore All That Coronavirus Productivity Pressure

2) HOW TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK

Home just became your everything-space.

So if you intend to work, why not optimise!

The creative folks over at The Futur are known for making amazingly knowledgeable videos for freelancers and creativepreneurs.

Here, they share their personal tips on how to carve out space for working at home, how to deal with the feeling of not being productive and also explore work/rest patterns to adopt.

Great tips for productivity in the home-place…

3) LEARNING WHILE DISTANCING

Stephen Robinson runs his YouTube channel like a diary of new skills he’s learned (or is learning).

This video from Stephen gives you a few ideas for what you could learn while staying the heck away from the possibly infected.

Having clocked up over 150 new skills, he knows better than most that learning is the best way to kill time.

4) FOOOOOOOOD

Have you also realised that you’re really bad at panic buying at the supermarket?

Shopping during the apocalypse can be tough.

Not knowing what to buy, what lasts, and resorting to a basket full of Indomie… as if an overload of MSG is any better than “Flu-like Symptoms".

Time to put those instant noodles away, and channel your inner chef.

The Happy Pear show types of food you should buy that’s long-lasting, works for a variety of dishes and packs a nutritional punch.

Let’s make your stock last and your trips to the supermarket less frequent.

5) OPTIMISE YOUR SLUMBER

Matt Walker is the Neil deGrasse Tyson of sleep science.

Since you’ll be learning a lot during your isolation, adequate sleep allows you to “hit the save button” on those new skills.

Use the power of sleep to enhance learning, memory, your immune system and bake it into your ritual.

6) NOW! BALI’S NEW PODCAST

Our home, Bali, is a place filled with inexplicable magic, strict religious rituals and colourful culture.

NOW! Bali Magazines’s editor, Edward Speirs, brings the tale of Jero Gede Mecaling to life through incredibly captivating storytelling.

A Sam Harris meets Dan Carlin audio sensation in podcast delivery.

Mecaling, known as “The Honourable Fanged One”, is the the harbinger of death and disease in Balinese folklore. A fitting story for the situation we find ourselves.

Through the lens of Balinese mythology, is our current pandemic the result of the conjuring tricks of Jero Gede Mecaling?

7) LAST WEEK TONIGHT (FROM THE OTHER DAY)

John Oilver may be stuck at home, but he’s still killin’ it.

The OG fact selector, suited-and-booted brit that shouts “Shame on you!” is still bringing you video gold from the safety of his own home.

This video is part 3 of his Coronavirus Updates.

If you think his home setup, lack of production crew and complete freedom to wear a suit above and nothing below as work attire is going to stop the show - think again!

8) MOVE YOUR BODY

Before the isolation orders kicked in, Sophie Dear dove into our photo studio to record her Yoga videos.

She has plenty of experience leading classes offline and online and has just launched her website and Yoga membership.

She offers a 14-day free trial and offers an absolute range of Yoga flows that will test you and tone you.

If you are just starting out, make sure you check out some of her beginner videos first.

9) THE LITTLE TINY QUIZ OF THE LOCKDOWN

Finally, since we are all letting our brains rot, we should maybe give it a bit of stimulus.

Funny man Jimmy Carr takes the seat as quiz master for his brilliant new YouTube series - The Little Tiny Quiz of the Lockdown.

Mixing brain teasers with his famous dead pan wit - it’s so grab a pen, phone a friend and see how well you score!

Hope that keeps you busy!

Find something interesting you think will please, inform or entertain our community?

Help us curate the content you think will help people at this testing time, and maybe we won’t feel so distant in our isolation :)

Until next week, keep that beautiful mind occupied and that Creative Spirit free!
