Producing music has never been easier. Yet the abundance of different programs, plug-ins and tools can be overwhelming for beginners.
About the Course
This 10 hour course will help you navigate through Ableton and make sure you’ll know and find everything you need for your next track.
Every lesson will last roughly an hour. We’ll cover the very basics and equip you with everything you need to jump right into your own projects.
This class will be highly interactive so you will mainly be in control and we’ll be your navigator. Let’s make some sweet tunes!
Hour 1 Ableton’s layout – basic functions and the differences between Session View & Arrangement View
Hour 2 MIDI and Audiotracks – the differences and how to use them
Hour 3 The Drum Rack – where to find it and how it works
Hour 4 Instruments – how to find them and how to play and arrange chords
Hour 5 Sampling & Recording – how to add other sounds and recording them yourself.
Hour 6 Layering and mixing tracks – how to make instruments and drums play together.
Hour 7 Using Audio effects #1 – EQ and Compressor.
Hour 8 Using Audio effects #2 – Reverb, Delay, Saturator & Filter.
Hour 9 Sidechaining – how to decide which instrument dominates over another.
Hour 10 Finishing a beat and exporting files - booyah!
